A Little Bit About Me.

We All Start Somewhere.

I believe in...

The Healing Power of Art

I deeply believe in the ability art has to to heal us, both emotionally and physically, and how it can serve as a therapeutic tool to calm the nervous system, retrain the brain, and restore balance to the body and mind. Every expression of creativity serves as a gentle reminder of the innate healing forces within us, guiding us towards wholeness, while enriching our lives with renewed energy and strength.

The Energy of Connection

Art has the inherent ability to foster deep connections—between individuals, between the self and the universe, and between the conscious and subconscious mind. Through art, I seek to cultivate meaningful connections that transcend boundaries and unite people in a  shared experiences of healing and transformation.

The Wisdom of Intuition

I trust in the intuitive wisdom that guides the creative process, recognizing that true artistic expression arises from a place of deep intuition and inner knowing. By honoring and harnessing this innate wisdom, art becomes a powerful tool for self-discovery, healing, and spiritual growth.

Hi, my sweet friends.

Welcome to my creative sanctuary, where every brushstroke is a whisper from my soul and every word penned is a reflection of my journey. I'm Stephanie Ryan, and I'm delighted to invite you into my world of watercolor art.

In the comfort of my studio, accompanied by my sweet dog Luna, I immerse myself in the magic of art. Painting has been my lifelong passion, a gift I've cherished since the earliest memories of my childhood. But it was during a challenging chapter of my life, where I would fall into bed and reach for watercolors to get myself through the health issues and misalignment alive in my life at the time, that I discovered the profound power of art to heal, to uplift, and to reconnect us to something more.

My art is a celebration of nature's beauty... an ode to the feelings that bind us to the earth and each other. With each stroke of color, I weave a tapestry of emotions—soothing, soulful, and deeply intuitive. It's visual poetry, and a symphony of hues and light that invites you to explore the depths of your own heart.

But my journey doesn't end with the paper. Through my writing and art courses, I aspire to pass on my wisdom, encourage new and fellow artists, and comfort others on their creative paths. I believe in the transformative power of art as a sacred practice—a journey of connection, gratitude, and intention.

In this space, calm is my superpower, intuition is my guiding light, and every piece of art is infused with the energy of healing and love.

Join me on this journey of creativity, connection, and self-discovery. Together, let's explore the depths of our souls and create something truly magical.

This is My Story

It's a tale of creative exploration and healing. Typically, you'll find me in my studio, in my comfy clothes, accompanied by my sweet dog, Luna. As an introvert and INFP, this space is my sanctuary.

My days unfold with painting, designing collections for licensing, computer work, and capturing the essence of my art and brand through photography, social media sharing, and crafting art courses. At the core of my work lies MAKE ART A SACRED PRACTICE—a philosophy that nurtures a deep, soulful connection with my art, practice, customers, and students.

Beyond art and business, my journey is one of continual healing from chronic illness. This journey has led me down many paths. Now, I am navigating towards wellness through regulating my nervous system from a chronic stress state that I had no idea I was in, healing limbic system impairment through brain retraining, and continuing to utilize energy healing techniques, including my love for all things related to sound healing.

Through it all, I remain steadfast in my beliefs, from connecting to intuition and practicing gratitude to honoring the healing power of art and embracing spirituality.

Testimonials

What my students & mentees have to say.

"I loved Stephanie's intuitive loose watercolor paintings, and was inspired to try my hand at learning that intuitive approach to painting."

Through learning with her, I am more appreciative of my intuition in my art making process. I learned to embrace my intuition in creating art. It seems obvious, but I tend to strive for a goal and this notion of "letting go" is literally "counter-intuitive" to my habitual state of mind. But in her courses, tapping into my intuition and spiritual creativity was not a novel idea - it was enhanced.

"All my intentions were met with Stephanie’s lessons and more."

Her lessons are surprisingly delightful and helped me learn in a playful way, while leading me to find calmness through a mindful way of painting with watercolour. They helped me remember the delight of creating a sacred space, and encouraged me to rejuvenate these practices and integrate them into my art practice to create a more mindful session and art. Stephanie’s teachings supported me in trusting the process of letting go and embracing what is. With her guidance, I was able to let go of making a plan, release my perfectionism and trust the flow of painting loosely.

- Eliane Kunnen

"The opportunity to interact with Stephanie, ask questions, and learn her process was invaluable."

Her courses are well thought out and set up to give the student a really great experience. I feel more connected to my intuition about how to paint, let the painting happen, and become, rather than being fixed on a "perfect" painting.

- Erin Jacobson

"Stephanie taught me to not get attached to my paintings."

With her support, I felt myself letting go of the fear of the white paper and getting more loose and flowy with my painting style. Her live classes are so great and it was awesome being able to talk directly to Stephanie and ask her questions.

"You will learn things about yourself and your art that you never thought about before."

I desired art mentoring because I was thinking about developing my love of watercolor painting into an art business. I loved that Stephanie's painting style is so loose and messy and soft and I wanted to understand more about how she developed her style and how she evolved it into a business. And wow, I feel like we accomplished a tremendous amount in the couple of months we worked together. One of my main goals was to learn about the art licensing industry from Stephanie and I feel like I got such a valuable insider perspective from her. She shared very openly with me about the benefits and challenges of working in that industry and was so generous with her knowledge.

Stephanie was there all the time supporting me to just let go of my ultimate goals and have fun with my art. This was very important for me and opened me up to find a kind of freedom with painting that I hadn't experienced before. I also learned that not all pathways will be right for me, but that it's still incredibly valuable to walk down them anyways, because now I have the understanding of why they weren't right for me and I am at peace. Even though I ultimately decided to not pursue an art business, I am so grateful to have learned that art making is a valuable pursuit because of the way it allows my creativity to be expressed and me to feel fulfilled.
